Single Vineyard Blewitt Springs Shiraz
Wine
Ministry of Clouds Single Vineyard Blewitt Springs Shiraz is sourced from a single vineyard grown on the maslin sand over ironstone soils of Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale.
The fruit is handpicked and gently destemmed for whole berry fermentation, which takes place in seasoned French oak open fermenters. In some vintages there is a small percentage of whole bunch inclusion.
The fermenting juice is pumped over daily to ensure the appropriate colour and flavour extraction. It is then basket pressed to a mix of French oak puncheons and hogsheads to mature for 18 months.
Crimson red, Ministry of Clouds Single Vineyard Blewitt Springs Shiraz has a finely wrought core of fruit, long sandy tannins and taut natural acidity. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
